My name is Rebecca Lester and I recently graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Communication. I was born and raised in Miami, FL where I developed a passion for language and culture. Because I was exposed to many languages as a child I became fascinated with them and the cultures to which they belonged. As I became older my fascination motivated me to learn Spanish and French in addition to speaking Portuguese and English at home.
As a child I was also fascinated by photography and after suffering a concussion in high school turned to photography as a method of expressing myself. Due to the concussion there was a period of time when I had difficulty using words to express myself and through this learned just how important communication is to me.
Beyond language and photography I use my free time to cook, play soccer, fish, and follow the millennial crowd by watching Netflix. I also just founded a blog, where I write and edit with two of my closest friends.
